Terms of Service
Last updated: August 16, 2026
Redrive is made and operated by Ilan Berlinbluv, an independent software developer based in Israel ("Redrive", "we"). These terms govern the redrive.dev website, the Redrive software, and paid subscriptions. By using the site, downloading the software, or buying a subscription, you agree to them. Our privacy policy describes how we handle personal data.
The software
Redrive is self-hosted software: you download it and run it on your own machines, against message brokers you control. We never operate it for you and never have access to your installation. The free tier is free for any use, personal or commercial. Paid subscriptions unlock additional features, as described on the pricing page.
Your license
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run Redrive. For free-tier use, the license covers the features published as free. A paid subscription extends the license to the features of the purchased tier, for as long as the subscription is active.
Redrive itself (the code, the design, the branding) stays our property. These terms give you a license to use it, not ownership of any part of it.
Pro subscriptions are personal licenses, one per person. A Pro license belongs to a named individual, covers only that individual, and is yours regardless of where you work; it moves with you when you change jobs. Your employer may reimburse you for it, but the license is held by you, never by the company, and does not transfer to it. Companies that want to buy and hold licenses use Team or Enterprise subscriptions, which are licensed per company and cover shared and server deployment.
Buying, renewal, and cancellation
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all orders: Paddle handles checkout, payment, invoicing, and sales tax, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase itself.
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time through Paddle's customer portal or the license page on redrive.dev; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and paid features keep working until then. If we change a price, the change applies from your next renewal, announced in advance, never mid-period.
Refunds follow our refund policy: 14 days on any charge, no questions asked.
License keys and activations
A subscription comes with a license key. Keep it confidential: anyone holding the key can activate installs against your subscription. If a key leaks, regenerate it from the license page: the old key stops working for new activations, your own installs keep running, and you can deactivate any activation you don't recognize from the same page.
Each tier allows a generous number of concurrently activated installs: five for Pro, fifty for Team and Enterprise. These caps exist to catch leaked keys, not to count seats; installs that have been silent for a long time are retired automatically to make room. If we ever lower a cap, the change applies from your next renewal, never mid-period. You agree not to share keys publicly, resell access to a subscription, or circumvent license verification.
Acceptable use
Use Redrive lawfully. Do not redistribute or resell the software itself, offer it to third parties as a hosted service, remove proprietary notices, or reverse engineer it except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
Your brokers, your responsibility
Redrive exists to operate on live messaging infrastructure, and some of what it does at your direction is destructive by design: redriving, discarding, and purging messages, deleting queues and exchanges. You are responsible for the credentials you give it, the brokers you point it at, and the operations you confirm. The software asks before every destructive action; deciding is up to you.
Open-source components
Redrive ships with open-source components, each under its own license, and includes their attribution and license texts.
No warranty
Redrive is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Redrive is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, even if advised of the possibility. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Termination
You can stop using Redrive at any time. We may terminate your license if you materially breach these terms and do not cure the breach after being asked. If that happens, the paid license ends and your installs revert to the free tier, which keeps working (termination never bricks the tool), but we don't refund the rest of the paid period. If we ever discontinue the paid service ourselves, we refund the unused part of what you paid. Sections that by their nature should survive, including the warranty disclaimer, the limitation of liability, and governing law, survive termination.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above always reflects the current version. Material changes are announced on this page before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept it. If a material change adversely affects an active subscription and you don't accept it, cancel and we'll refund the unused part of the period.
The fine print
If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, together with the refund policy, the privacy policy, and Paddle's buyer terms, are the entire agreement between us about Redrive. You may not assign or transfer this agreement; we may assign it if the business behind Redrive is sold, merged, or reorganized.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Tel Aviv, Israel have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. Where the consumer-protection law of your own country grants you rights or venue that cannot be waived, those stand.
